  Ok, it's not really a Shawnimals project, but it's been developed and designed by Shawnimals creator Shawn Smith! It's called Resketch, and it's on Kickstarter now! What is it?

  Resketch isn't the same old, boring sketchbook you're used to. The mission is simple...

  • Provide a new take on the fundamental building block of creative thinking: a sketchbook that fosters creativity and discovery via a diverse selection of paper types, and simple yet thought-provoking Creative Prompts.
  • Acquire interesting, high-quality reused paper from a variety of non-new sources that would otherwise be destined for a landfill or recycling center
  • Post-Kickstarter, find innovative ways to get Resketch books to people who need them most.

  Hey folks, Shawn here. Just wanted to post a quick message about C2E2 and some changes. I plan on being there as much as possible, but unfortunately I won't be there quite as much as I originally intended. In addition, we won't have the Legends of Ninjatown comic done as we hoped.

  It'll still be an awesome show, and we hope you have a blast.

  This is the sad part, so apologies ahead of time: Late last week my brother passed away unexpectedly, and needless to say my family and I are all incredibly shocked. We will be spending a lot of time together in the coming days and weeks, so my time spent on Shawnimals-related stuff will be diminished. You've all been so awesome and supportive in the past, and I ask that you continue to be just as awesome until I'm able to get past this.

  The newest Ninjatown series is now in comic form with this first-ever printed publication! Read along as a young Wee Ninja learns of the rich Ninjatown history thanks to Ol' Master Ninja's wisdom. His vivid descriptions yield amazing if not scary visuals, sure to tickle the fancy of your ninja eyeballs.

Series 1 includes: Baby Ninja, Macho Ninja, Zombie Ninja, Aqua Ninja, Business Ninja, Yeti Ninja, Pink Ninja, Undercover Ninja, Notso Wee Ninja, Animal Spirit Ninja, and, of course, the mystery chase.   This post is about two important things: First, and maybe most important, we have decided to end Ninja of the Month after this year. You'll see a November and December release, but that will be it for the series. We thank you all for your support over the last three years, and really couldn't have done it without your constant, awesome participation and faith in the thing we all love so much: Ninjatown!

  However, it's hardly a sad thing! Why? Because we have something amazing to take its place. Granted, this new series won't be a subscription-based thing, nor will it be a monthly new release, BUT it will be every bit as awesome (and actually more, if we may say so) as Ninja of the Month. So, what is it? Legends of Ninjatown! It's pretty amazing, and we are SUPER excited to share the full details, but for now, we give you this...
