Our new, evil friend Dark Forest Ninja has been here a week this Wednesday, and many of you requested a contest of some sort, so here we go...
You could win this very Dark Forest Ninja! Here's how: Simply dream up a really awesome Ninjatown Kotowaza... er, we'll call em a Haiku for this purpose, and post it in the comments below. Write it down or type it up first, and then paste it in the comments. We want good ones! No slop.
What's a Kotowaza? Well, we use them as little Ninjatown sayings, or proverbs, along the side of the Ninjatown site. You can learn about real life Kotowaza here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kotowaza
What's a Haiku? This is the fun part. Think about Ninjatown. Think about the characters. Think about Dark Forest Ninja. Anything Ninjatown / Dark Forest related is fair game, but we want some fun, creative, interesting stuff. Write a little poem with three lines. The first must be 5 syllables total. It's that simple. We'll pick our favorite, plus second place and send along some awesome goodies. You have until 11:59pm May 21st to submit your Haiku, so get your thinking caps firmly placed on your skulls.
1st place gets a Dark Forest Ninja, a Zipper Charm, and a sticker / button set. 2nd place gets a Zipper Charm, a DFN sticker and button, and some additional stickers.

I like writing poems that start out gothic and end abruptly and lightheartedly... it makes me giggle. There's a couple of other haiku entries that make me giggle as well.
