All of the signs are there
First sign, Mr. Demon is posting comments he never did that before Second sign, he said it better be on HIS side so that gives a hint
Third sign, there is purple goo on the chalkboard and there is a bite mark in the calendar, what ninja bites, ZOMBIE

Dark syrup blob and Syrup devil are possibilities as well. Although their syrup is usually portrayed as the color brown, not purple.

When I first saw the image two days ago, I immediately was thrilled to soon have my own handmade plush devil with a syrup sprayer accessory, although upon second glance, I realised that it was, in fact, tribal demon spears in the wall, and said "Well, that'll be cool, too, but I love the l'il devils with goggles on, they're so cute. But I'm still totally getting Tribal Devil."

This is driving me crazy - it makes sense that it would be the devil from Trees of Doom that shoots the goo, but he's not a ninja. Arg. What else would be purple???
