Every door is different, but I offer three main ways to get started. All murals feature my fun, character-based style with bold colors and shapes, tailored to your vision.

Note on Pricing: Final quotes are calculated based on the size of the door, the condition of the surface (needed prep work), and environmental factors (accessibility, height, or specialized weather-proofing), as well as the complexity of the design and specific requests related to the design.
The Creative Process: From Sketch to Street Art
Working with an artist should be as fun as the art itself! Here is how we bring your mural to life:
- Initial Consultation: We’ll discuss your garage door, your favorite Shawnimals murals or imagery, and any specific colors or themes you love. In some cases, this will include a site visit.
- Estimate: Based on this conversation, I'll provide an estimate range for your review and approval. If you're good to go, a 50% deposit is required for work to kick off.
- Concept & Sketching: I’ll provide a digital mockup of the design so you can see exactly how it will look on your specific garage door with up to two rounds of edits.
- Surface Preparation: Once approved, I’ll kick things off—clean and prime the surface to ensure the best possible adhesion for the paint.
- The Big Paint:Â This is where the magic happens! From an initial on-wall sketch, to rough fills, to final details, I use professional-grade, high-pigment aerosol and acrylics to ensure the boldest colors possible.
- The Reveal! Once wrapped up, we'll review the wall and ensure everything is looking good and you and yours are happy! The balance will due in full upon completion.
Caring for Your Mural (Maintenance)
I want your mural to look as good years from now as it does on day one. Here is how I ensure longevity:- UV & Weather Protection:Â I use a specialized UV-resistant spray paint and high quality acrylic paints to prevent fading from direct sunlight and protect against rain and snow.
- Cleaning:Â If the door gets dusty or muddy, a gentle spray with a garden hose or a gentle wipe-down with a soft cloth and a mild soap is all you need. Avoid power washing or abrasive chemicals of any kind.
- Longevity:Â With proper care, these professional-grade murals can last a long time before needing a refresh.
- Graffiti and tagging:Â I can't be held responsible for any graf or tagging that may occur on top of your mural. But in most cases I can fix such things for a fee on an hourly basis.
More Than Just Garages
While I love painting on a good garage door, my characters are happy anywhere! I am available for other surfaces including but not limited to exterior walls like fences, sheds, and brick facades, as well as interior walls like playrooms, home offices, or feature walls.
